CERTIFIED MEDICATION TECHNICIAN (CMT)

“Caring is the essence of nursing.” —Jean Watson

VINE HEALTHCARES SERVICES strives to produce competent medication technicians through proper instruction of their roles and responsibilities. Students acquire general information and procedures in safely administrating and documenting non-parenteral medications. We ensure that our students are aware of the six rights of medication administration, infection control procedures, and health maintenance counseling to increase the effectiveness of medications.

Medication technicians typically work under the supervision of nurses. They also keep detailed records of the medications prescribed to patients and the side effects patients experience after receiving medications.

Medication technicians provide support to licensed healthcare professionals such as registered nurses and licensed practical nurses.

As the Healthcare industry grows and improves, we also enhance our training methodologies and approach for you to achieve excellence in the medical field.
This course is ideal for Certified Nurse Assistants (CNA), Home Health Aides (HHA), Medical Assistants (MA), Patient Care Technicians (PCT/PCA), and Certified Behavioral Health Technicians (BHT/CBHT).
